Yes & no! We’re a lot cheaper than a good wedding videographer and a bit cheaper than a budget one but it’s also a totally different experience on the day. Not everyone wants strangers with cameras at their wedding so rather than that, with Shootbox it’s your friends and family doing the filming.

Firstly, cost - obviously. Secondly, you have the cameras for a week so you can get footage when a videographer wouldn’t be there. Like the build up before and aftermath the days after!

Absolutely! Your videographer will generally be there on the wedding day from before your ceremony through to the first few dances but our cameras are there for you and your guests to shoot the day(s) before, the last dances of the night, the day(s) after etc. Even your honeymoon if you want to hire them for a bit longer! :)

Most couples give selected wedding party and guests different jobs at their wedding. Like doing a reading or giving a speech or being in charge of dishing out confetti after the ceremony. This is no different. We recommend having a small handful of responsible(ish) people at your wedding as the ones in charge of filming. There are also some tips cards in the box along with the cameras they can refer to on the day.

No, not at all. We’ll give you all the tools and tips you need to make sure you get a great wedding film. Unless you have given the responsibility to Tequila Tracey. In which case, good luck. That’s on you :)

We currently send DJI’s Pocket 2 cameras. They’re the perfect blend of simple to use, discreet and great 4k quality. And they are also stabilised which means nice smooth footage! You can also upgrade to the new, better DJI Pocket 3 if you like.

Every hire period is 1 week. You can choose what days to have them delivered and collected within that week. If your wedding is on a Saturday we would recomend delivery on the Wednesday before and collection the Tuesday after your wedding. But whatever suits you.

In many cases, yes! Just clear it with your venue first as they will need to be available for delivery and collection. We do recommend you have them delivered to your home or work address though, so that whoever is in charge of filming can have a play with the cameras ahead of your wedding.

They will be checked and charged before we deliver them to you but as soon as you receive them, please double check they are working and if you have any problems get in touch straight away and we’ll send a replacement.

Nope! We include spare memory cards in the very unlikely event that you need more storage.

You own the footage and can do whatever you wish with it.

Currently no but you are welcome to take them with you if you are getting married abroad. We add on a charge to cover an additional weeks hire.

Yes! If you go for the Kit Hire Only option it is included. Otherwise, a copy of the raw footage can be sent to you on USB for £50.
